tERMS &CONDITIONS

  • All clients will be deemed to have read & accepted Potters Paws terms and conditions (as laid out here) by signing a Potters Paws contract during consultation.

  • Potters Paws will not confirm any booking until a consultation has been carried out with the client, the Pet(s) in question and the contract, with full details of client requirements, has been signed by the client. 

  •  Payment for services are to be made prior to admittance or at the time of booking via bank transfer for one off payments or standing order for regular payments. 

  • *If payment is not made within this time - a fee of £2 will be added for each day that payment is overdue* 

  • All dogs must be Spay or Castrated in order to qualify for the Potters Paws experience.  

  • - Young dogs under 12 months old will be accepted on the understanding of the above statement to be carried out no later than 13 months of age (to our discretion).  

  • The client must provide all items necessary for pets to be adequately cared for in the client's absence. (i.e. food, medication, leads, tags, collars, cat litter etc). I.D. Tags are a legal requirement, failure to wear a tag can result in a maximum £5,000 fine to you, the client. 

  • Should pets require any additional supplies whilst in the care of Potters Paws, these will be purchased and added to the bill. 

  •  A Spare key is required for each household to gain access to your pet. If for any reason we can not access the property (i.e: Key left in back of door, Pet not in the property) full charges for service will apply and not be transferred. 

  • The client must provide Potters Paws with the name and contact number of someone capable of making a decision relating to the pet(s) in an emergency. If the contact is not available Potters Paws reserves the right to consult with a veterinary surgeon and then make a decision which is in the best interests of the animal. 

  • The client is responsible for any veterinary bills, to your pet(s) or any other injured parties, no matter how they are incurred, whilst pets are in the care of Potters Paws. 

  • Potters Paws must be alerted to any behavioural problems with the client's pet(s) at the time of booking. Failure to do so may result in additional charges or cancellation of any future contract. 

  • Although Potters Paws holds Public Liability insurance, wherever possible pets should be insured by the client.  Potters Paws reserves the right to refuse a booking for any animal which is not insured. 

  • Potters Paws will care for your animal as you would, and whilst we will make every effort to ensure your pet is well looked after in absence, Potters Paws cannot be held liable for any loss, injury or death to a pet or caused by your pet(s), either inside or outside of the home whilst in our care.

  •  - Dog Walking  

  • 1.Cancellations - for permanent cancellations of walks minimum of 28 days notice is required. If the required notice is not given charges will be applied in full for the cancelled period.  

  • 1a. Any changes or swapping of days to your regular walks Potters Paws would need a minimum of 7 days notice (with our Discretion).  

  •  All dogs being exercised must be fully vaccinated (kennel cough included) and on a regular flea and worm control regime. 

  • 3. All dogs will undergo a 6 weeks trial period to ensure that they are adequately trained and socialised. If not additional services and charges will be arranged. 

  • 3a. Potters Paws reserves the right to cancel the contract at any time & with immediate effect if the dog does not respond well to the walker and/or other dogs 

  • 4.  Although Potters Paws consider your work / time schedule Potters Paws can not guarantee a specific time as to when your Dog will be collected / dropped off. 

  • 5. All dogs will be exercised in a group off lead unless prior agreement has been reached with Potters Paws. (Solo/on Lead walks - extra charges may apply) 

  • 6. The walker will apply personal judgment and cut short any walk, if necessary, because of extreme weather conditions (ie, heat, snow, thunder storms) for the safety of both the dogs and the walker.  

  • 6a. In the case of predicted extreme heat dogs will be walked very early morning or late afternoon when temperatures have cooled.  

  • 7. If dog(s) require a quick towelling off after walks towels must be provided and left by the door. 

 

  •  - Boarding, Sitting, Care & Visits.

  • 1.To secure any dates you request, Potters Paws require a 50% non-refundable deposit at the time of consultation, assuming your dog meets all requirements. 

  • 2.Full and final payment for your pets stay is required 14 days prior to the date of admittance. 

  • 3.If final payment is not made 14 days prior, Potters Paws reserve the right to cancel the stay without refund. 

  • 4.Should the dates be cancelled less than 14 days prior, full payment will still be due and not refundable or transferable. 

  • 5.Potters Paws takes great pride in the care of any animal in their charge, however, they cannot be held responsible for any loss, accident, injury or death caused to any animal whilst in their care. 

  • 6.Potters Paws will make adequate steps to ensure your home is safe and secure in your absence, however Potters Paws cannot be held responsible for any burglaries or accidents caused by your pet(s) or otherwise. 

  • 7.All dogs are to have up to date inoculations (including kennel cough), be de-flead and wormed prior to admittance. 

  • 8.Potters Paws must be alerted to any behavioural problems with any pet(s) at the time of booking. Failure to do so may result in additional charges. Any damages to Potters Paws property and/or belongings will be charged to the clients bill. 

  • 9.The client must provide all items necessary for your pet to be adequately cared for in the clients absence and detail them within the consultation. 

  • 10.If your pet needs to be picked up or dropped off by Potters Paws for a stay additional arrangements may need to be made and charges will apply; Otherwise your pets carer will provide you with an Address and Time for them to be dropped off by the client. 

 

  •  - Pet Taxi  

  • 1. All bookings are subject to a 50% non-refundable deposit payable in advance with full payment 48 hours before Taxi is required. 

  • 2. Any cancellations must be made more than 48 hrs in advance or the full rate will be charged. 

  • 3. Clients must notify the veterinary surgery that Potters Paws will be attending the appointment on their behalf and ensure that arrangements for payment have been made with either Potters Paws or the vet. 

  • 4. Any owner wishing to accompany Potters Paws whilst an animal is being transported accepts that they do so at their own risk and that Potters Paws does not accept any liability for any accident, injury or delay incurred during transportation.
